The 21-50-27-1 is a vertically polarized, omni-directional antenna, compatible with airborne radios operating within the 116 to 174 and 225 to 512 MHz frequency ranges. The antenna can handle 25 watts of power, requires no external tuning and is designed as a drop on replacement for AT1108/37R-2U types but having greater isolation between bands and better omni-directivity.
This dual band antenna is suited to military and civil aircraft applications where its rugged design ensures reliability in world wide conditions of service at speeds up to Mach 0.95.
The radiating element is DC grounded for static protection.
