The 21-50-05 is a wide band LOS antenna supporting the extended UHF frequencies, L-Band (Link-16/TACAN/IFF/ADS-B, SRW, WNW) and the future Data Links of the C/D bands. System integration/utilization is enhanced with usage of the 21-80-10 Triplexer (Sold Separately) enabling the combining of multiple functions on the wide band antenna. The antenna is designed to MIL-STD-810 and is suitable for installation on helicopters and subsonic fixed wing aircraft. The specifically shaped wide band radiating element is contained within a high strength glass/epoxy radome, of just over 9" height.
The Low VSWR is maintained throughout the frequency range through the design of a lossless matching network, enabling the antenna to support average input power of 200 Watts CW throughout the frequency range and 2kW Peak in the Link-16/TACAN/ IFF C/D Band.
