The 21-20-54 is a very lightweight, simple to install VHF ‘whip’ antenna suitable for aircraft operating up to 350 knots. Full VHF ATC frequency coverage is achieved by matching circuits encapsulated in the antenna base. The antenna maintains a low VSWR when mounted either vertically or raked at an angle of 30º using the spacers provided.

Construction comprises a Beryllium Copper element encapsulated in a high strength tapered glass-epoxy tube which is bonded into an aluminum alloy base housing carrying a TNC (or BNC as 21-20-54-1) female connector.
