VHF Airborne Blade Antenna
161.50 to 162.50 MHz
SKU: 21-20-18
The 21-20-18 is a high performance VHF airborne blade antenna suitable for aircraft operating in excess of Mach 2.
Construction is from a one piece fiberglass blade moulding intimately bonded into an aluminum alloy base block which houses the matching circuits and provides for very solid attachment to the airframe via 6 fixing holes drilled to the same pattern as the AT-256 UHF antenna.
The metal base block also enables the 21-20-18 to meet the lightning protection requirements of AS-3191/A.
Internal radiating element are shaped in such a way as to produce minimum VSWR and also to optimize radiation. The antenna assembly is sealed by closed cell foam and finished in lusterless black or grey urethane paint.
