UHF Airborne Blade Antenna
291.4 ± 0.5 MHz
SKU: 21-30-24-1
The 21-30-24-1 is an airborne blade antenna designed for helicopters and high performance aircraft covering the UHF Sonobuoy Command frequency. It is a direct footprint replacement for AT256 UHF Blade antennas.
Electrical design is based on a 2-dimensional, monopole which is of high efficiency and provides nearly omni-directional azimuthal radiation.
Mechanical design uses an advanced, glass-loaded thermoplastic radome with an integral radiating element, all foamed-in-place for structural and environmental integrity.
The blade is built into a contoured base collar and has a centrally mounted, N-type female coaxial connector on an aluminium alloy baseplate to which the radiating element is DC grounded for p-static protection.
