The 21-20-08 is a passive airborne blade antenna requiring no tuning and providing exceptional gain in a 9 inch tall structure having just 9 inches of top loading. Use of optimised proprietary matching techniques has produced an antenna design that provides full SINCGARS/BOWMAN frequency coverage whilst accepting input power up to 50 watts.
The exceptional performance provided by this antenna offers the SINCGARS/ BOWMAN system designer a viable alternative to equivalent sized tuneable antennas with consequent increase in reliability, simpler installation and substantial cost savings.
Electrical design comprises a three dimensional top loaded discone fed via a multiplicity of passive tuned circuits that optimise gain over 30 - 88 MHz within a VSWR typically 2.75:1.
