The 21-60-26-1 antenna provides extremely wide UHF Satcom bandwidth in an ultra low profile design within a completely passive structure.
Specially shaped radiating elements and proprietary matching circuits are used to optimize gain/bandwidth without need for tuning.
The antenna matching elements are located in an aluminum cavity which recesses 3.35 inches below aircraft skin line and requires a 9.5 inch square cut-out in the skin. The external portion of the antenna is 3.5 inches high and is environmentally sealed within a glass epoxy radome.
