The 21-50-27 is a vertically polarized, omni-directional antenna, compatible with airborne radios operating within the 116 to 152 and 225 to 512 MHz frequency ranges. The antenna can handle 70 watts of UHF and 25 watts of VHF power, requires no external tuning and is designed as a drop on replacement for AT1108/37R-2U types but having greater isolation between bands and better omni-directivity.
This dual band antenna is suited to military and civil aircraft applications where its rugged design ensures reliability in world wide conditions of service at speeds up to Mach 0.95.
Use of a surface deposited radiating element optimizes efficiency and the radiating element is DC grounded for static protection.
