This tuneable antenna provides exceptional gain in the 30-174MHz SINCGARS and VHF band compared to similarly sized passive antennas whilst maintaining optimum performance right up to 512MHz in wide-band mode. In addition, a separate high UHF passive element provides frequency coverage from 550 to 941MHz. Many years of experience in designing solid-state tuned antennas has enabled CAL’s team to provide the ultimate in performance and reliability for a frequency agile airborne blade. Close attention to environmental and EMI design considerations combined with latest composites structural technology makes the 21-150-10-1 suitable for helicopters and subsonic aircraft. The separate logic converter unit (21-151-10-1) combines flash memory technology with MIL spec’d power supply in a MIL-STD-461 compliant package for interfacing with the ARC 210 Gen V Radio.
