The 20-00-61 is a vehicle mounted telescopic mast designed to provide a mounting for antennas that are relatively independent of ground plane. This mast is particularly suited to vehicle-on-the move applications where the antenna mounted upon it can be retracted to approximately the vehicle roof line for transit and extended to 1 to 1.25 meters for operation.

The 20-00-61 comprises three interlocked precision machined colinear glass epoxy tubes of high strength and light weight, the largest of which is affixed to the vehicle allowing each of other two to be manually raised or lowered and then locked in position by a single hand tightened knob. The upper tube is fitted with a aluminium adaptor which is capable of supporting a CECOM base pattern antenna.

The mast is affixed to the vehicle via two mounting brackets – one fixed at the base of the mast and the other capable of being positioned near the top of the bottom tube such as to provide optimum attachment to the vehicle.
