The 21-40-90 is a wideband omnidirectional antenna intended for helicopters, vehicular and ground installations where no ground plane is available.
The design comprises an array of wide band dipoles connected and phased in such a way as to provide nominally omnidirectional radiation in azimuth with maximum gain at or near the horizon.
Construction uses an epoxy-glass radome with internal foamed in place elements for maximum environmental protection. The antenna has an aluminum base plate with a single, TNC connector.
