A 1/4 wave helical antenna with SMA connector designed especially for exposed SMA connectors on hand held radios and covered entirely with polyolefin rubber heat shrink. The SMAVAR146 has a specially made 1/4λ phosphor bronze helical coil tuned to produce an exceptionally broadband antenna for use on the entire Air Band 144MHz to 148MHz.

• Ideal for scanners that are mainly used for 2m band.
• This antenna may not fit neatly onto your transceiver

The SMAVAR146 has a diameter of 12mm at its base and may not fit some radios that have the SMA connector recessed into the radio, if this is the case then the SMAIVAR146 is the better choice
