Then M124-3 is a fiberglass 5/8 wave antenna suitable for vehicle and base applications on a 5/16" fitting, The M124-3 works best when mounted onto a bracket that is as close to the surface of the ground plane as possible such as the BMS mount (Z brackets are not recommended with this antenna)

Recommended Accessories - A12C, or UL12C with BMB or Mag12C

You Should NOT use a spring with this antenna.
